My friend lost her childhood doll and I have a doll for her, but no shoes for the doll.

I want to clean her up, but need help with the best way to do that. Any ideas?

She is approx. 17" tall and came with a perm kit and bathrobe.
thank you

How To Clean Your Toni
by: Cessie

I have a 16" P-91 Toni from Ideal. when I got her, she was filthy, like someone had played with her in the dirt.

Anyhow, soap and water wouldnt remove the old stains, so I used 409 on her and got every bit of grime removed. When I went to take off her socks, they were almost glued to her feet, but finally they came off.

I removed her petticoat dress and jumper over it, and washed them and dried them. She must have been standing with a doll stand around her waist because there were two small rust marks on her petticoat dress just in that spot below above her waist. Those spots are stains and won't come out, but the rest washed up like brand new.

She also wore paper shoes with black curling ribbon which were still in good shape..The stains don't show on the blouse because the plaid jumper fits over it..
