straw? filled nurse doll early 1900's?

I found this doll in a draw while clearing out my elderly Aunt's house after her death.

If it was her doll it would have been around 1925-35, it is possible it was handed down to her though so it may be earlier.

It is filled with straw or wood shavings, has no hands or feet as such and the face is painted on.

There are no markings at all. It was in what was left of a box so I've pictured that alongside the doll in case it helps identify the make.
