Saving Pennies.

This 16" cutie with a blond yarn bun in her hair I have Never seen before.

She is a total cloth doll with sewn on eyebrows, nose and mouth. Her eyes are sewn on blue plastic beads. She has sewn on dangly "pearl" earrings.

Her long dress with long sleeves and lace at the ends is blue background with white lambs, white ladders and red flowers.

She has pink bloomers with lace at the knee and a pink under slip. Her apron is red with 10 long pockets from hem to hips which hold notes like,

"Total your telephone number, Dear",

"counting 10 for naughts, put the total in here". and

"Open the cupboard where the canned goods are: count a penny for each and you'll be a star."

The notes are typed. Was she a way to raise money for: church? a women's club? Another cause?

Do you know anything about her?

Her stuffing is very soft. Her waist with clothing and apron is 7", so she is not large. Hands are "club" - no fingers. Clothes are machine made.

Please help I'd love a granddaughter to love her! Thanks, Vickie

Oh dear, without any pictures to view, it is next to impossible to identify a doll. Sounds lovingly homemade.
