Expedition Explorer Doll

I have this boy doll that has a green mohair snow suit with brown mittens and boots.

His face looks like paper mache and the rest of his head is stuffed. Arms move not the legs.

I was told he was a Expedition Explorer Doll? Does anyone know who the maker is?

A possibility is . . .
by: Anonymous

A possibility is - Theodore H. Gary & Company of Hoboken, NJ USA - who in 1909 made dolls representing Commander Robert E. Peary and Dr. Frederick A. Cook, both North Pole expedition explorers. These dolls were distributed by Strobel & Wilken. No doll photo is show in the book though, to confirm this is/could be your doll maker.

Colemans Encylopedia of Dolls book, Vol I, page 244.
