My Mother's Keepsakes

by R. Glassen

This doll was found in my Mother's keepsakes. There was a note in the box written by my mother stating the doll belonged to her father.

She was born in 1917 and I'm assuming the doll is that old. There is a tag on the dolls dress which reads "My Dearest Baby Arranbee Doll Co." The clothing looks original and I think the doll could be restored.

I would appreciate any information anyone has about this doll.

Bru
by: Anonymous

My bru is very small, jointed wooden body and porcelain head with brown eyes... original cork in head.. holes in the ears for pierced earrings.. back of head has bru and the # It was appraised for 2500 years ago. Has the market dropped off?
It was purchased overseas by traveling relatives and brought back around 1899 maybe earlier.. several relatives traveled in Europe between the years of 1880 and 1899. No clothes on her.. hair was replaced in the 1940's. Is there any interest? She is about 8" tall
