Many years ago when only 3 or 4 years old I was given a bisque doll as a present. I still have it and would be interested to learn more about it.


It is about 12 inches tall, jointed, 'china?' face and a wig of 'real' hair. Unfortunately, no one told me the hair would not grow again and I trimmed into a short bob! The bottom part of a leg is unattached, but I still have it.

No original clothes, but a little blue dress my mother made for it in 1945.

On the back of the neck is:

a five-pointed star with PB inside it and S H either side. Below is the date 1909, the number 310 and Germany.
