Joan M.

Bought this at auction can not find anything on this brand. Maybe someone can help.

SHE HAS A FRENCH LOOK BUT HER LABEL ON BACK IS "DTF BERLIN", NEXT TO THE LABEL IT LOOKS LIKE 15 IS EMBOSSED ON HER BACK.

SHE WAS ORIGINALLY A HALF DOLL BUT SOMEONE HAS MADE HER A BODY OF WOOD WITH JOINTS (WHICH CAN BE REMOVED). HER HEAD, HANDS AND PARTIAL ARMS ARE ORIGINAL.

HER CLOTHES ARE NOT ORIGINAL. SHE HAS A FEW RUBS ON HER FACE AND HER NECK HAS TWO MARKS FROM HER NECKLACE WHICH I AM PRETTY SURE WILL CLEAN OFF. WHICH SHE HAS MOHAIR AND IS 5" FROM TOP OF HER HEAD TO BOTTOM OF HER TORSO.

HER ARMS AND HANDS ARE CHINA, HER HEAD AND TORSO ARE SOME KIND OF COMPOSITION, MAYBE CHALK.

Joan's Berlin doll

Joan, I wish you would have also posted a picture showing the full doll, showing the arms and label and the clothes too.

With only the one partial picture to work with, I did find two eBay items that may or may not assist you in your hunt for identification.

Is your doll a half doll made of chalkware? Composition? A boudoir doll? Once a lamp? Or a pincushion? Many, many questions for you to research.

Happy researching!

Diane
