Ellen of Dr. E's Doll Museum

I can post photos later, but I am a private collector and author. I am about to publish a bibliography of dolls and a history of metal dolls.

I have written for Doll News, Doll Reader, National Doll World, Western Doll Collector, Hope and Glory: The Midwestern Journal of Victorian Studies, Doll Designs, and International Doll Collector.

I have a blog on dolls, and another on tips for living "green" that talks about handmade dolls and crafts. This blog will morph into a web doll museum, and then, my dream is to have my own museum spanning the history of dolls which will also engage in community events, participate in charities, and have a public library of doll materials for collectors and everyone interested to use.

I love this site. Will get some photos up soon, with the help of my husband, who is a photographer. Please forgive inadvertent typos; the one thing I can't do is type.

Help me to identify what kind of doll we have, please?!
by: Tiffany

My husband has a doll that was passed down from his great great great grandmother. It is a small doll and appears to be made of bone. We’ve never seen anything like it until we were searching and found a picture of a doll similar to it on your blog. We would love to find out what it is and how much it would be worth. If you could, would you please email us back sometime. My email address is tiffparks4@yahoo.com Thank you so much!
