Composite doll?

by Linda Soderberg

Trying to find out about an antique doll I inherited from my mum. I think it is from the 1930-1940.

She needs to be restored and I was wondering how old she might be.

I thought she was made from china but I think she might be a composite with glue and sawdust legs?

The doll is about 30cm long and has painted eyes, lips, and hair. Her head looks as if it be molded in 2 halves.

She does have some id marks on her neck but I'm not sure what they are. I have attached some photos. Anyone help me out?

Thank you

Resembles the first hard doll I received
by: Anonymous

I was five years old when I got my first hard body doll. She looked a lot like this one. The body was covered with some sort of cloth, but the arms, legs and head look like this one. I don't have it any more--gave it away when I was in third grade to a Christmas Toy Collection. I was 5 in 1948.
