Cloth doll with wood and reed(?) details

Found in a box of dolls from my grandma when I helped her clean out her shed. She didn't know anything about it. She said she got it at some kind of doll show or sale back in the 70s or 80s.
I just thought it was so cool!! I have a little bit of experience with antiques and I have looked all over this doll for a mark and can't find anything.
I'm really just curious about its origins and the story behind it.
