Bette Ball A/P dolls

by Sonya Barnette
(Gloucester,Va)

A/P

I have a collection of dolls that belonged to my Mother, she passed away in 2005 and I do not know anything about them.

I am trying to get some information on this dolls.

They are beautiful dolls and it is a shame for them to be packed in a box.

I would like for someone to be able to enjoy them.

hi Kent, I was reading your post regarding the Nana's Darling you are looking for. Her name is Sabrina. I have her, though I'm not thinking of selling her at this time. Just thought I'd let you know her correct name.

I collect Bette Ball dolls....
by: Kent

I remember vividly watching QVC when I was younger every month to see Bette show off new dolls. I recently started to collect them. Did your mother have dolls with the following names: Tammy, Angela, and Kayla of The Four Seasons series, Sonata of the Nana's Darlings collection, Deidre, and/or Peking Xing, a panda? I am looking for these dolls and will pay a reasonable and fair price for them. They are all musical and I will tell you the song they play so you know if you have them. Tammy plays "The Spring," Angela plays "In the Good Old Summertime," Kayla's song is, "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" Deidre plays "Turn Around" and is part of the Museum Collection, Sonata is a toddler doll dressed in a lavender dress and holding a butterfly playing the aria from Madame Butterfly, and Peking Xing has a straw hat and plays "bird in a Gilded Cage." Please let me know if you have any of these dolls!

1 OF 1 OR ARTIST PROOF
by: Anonymous

I have heard that the doll market was not good. I do know that some of these dolls are Artist Proof dolls and 1 of a kind.

Just a shame for as much as my mother paid for some of them ,that they are packed in a box.

Bette Ball dolls
by: Diane

Back in the late 1980's or early 1990's, I discovered QVC dolls. One artist featured was Bette Ball. Her dolls were made of porcelain and numbered a very high issue of each doll model.

If you look on eBay, you will find many Bette Ball dolls listed. If you look in the "completed items" listings on the left side column, you will find most do not sell. Porcelain dolls made in mass are just not selling in this down economy. Sorry.

I have many QVC dolls here. The hype that they would become very collectible and worth something to our future generations just did not happen.
