Hi there, I too have the same Alice doll and am 43.
My sister in England bought it for me as a birthday present when I was about 5 or 6, I think.
The disks have been missing for a number of years now as we moved a few times backwards and forwards from England to Aust. Everything else is in tact though.
It's a real shame as I now have a 15 month old granddaughter and would love to give it to her so she could have the same pleasure I did from her.
If you happen to know where I could get the disks I would be very grateful. Thanks

I retrieved my beloved Alice doll from my parents' house today and gave it to our 4 year old daughter, who's a great fan of the original Alice in Wonderland animation.
I vividly remember this doll being a special Christmas present from my grandparents and she was quite high-tech for her era! She's in pretty good condition, but I only have 2 of the discs - the red one & the black one, which have Christmas songs, nursery rhymes & general phrases.
Sadly I no longer have the disc where Alice recounts her story, but I recall quite distinctly how it goes, as I played it over & over again. I struggled for over 2 hours this evening desperately trying to get the disc player to work and finally succeeded!
The little drive belt which goes around the tiny turntable & around the spindle which drives it was missing, so I improvised with an elastic band and hey presto! Our daughter listened in awe and has fallen equally in love with my Alice doll.
The wonderful thing is that I was also 4 years old, the same age as our daughter, when I got the Alice doll. She was my all-time favorite toy. If anyone knows where I can get the missing disc, I'd love to know :o)
