Effanbee Doll... w/short, curly (soft) hair.

This doll was a favorite find with my mother-in-law who just passed away. She evidently had one of these dolls when she was a young girl.

In her 60's, she searched everywhere and found this doll. I don't think this doll is named Janet... believe she named her "Janet" after her best childhood friend. She wanted to make sure it stayed in the family, which it has (along with 30 different outfits for "Janet."

This is the only information we have... can also send a picture. Can you help with history; value, etc? She is a sweet looking doll; eye lids open/close and in excellent condition.

Doll info exactly as printed::

Back of neck: EFFANBEE

Middle of Back: EFF-AN-BEE

Dy-Dee Baby
by: Diane

Dy-Dee is unique as her ears are separate and applied on, not part of the head mold. Since she has the caracul wig, she should have a hard plastic head with a soft rubber body.

Rubber dolls are prone to crack and tear as the rubber becomes brittle. Often the ears fall off as they are rubber also. Value is based on CONDITION, size and original clothes etc.

A picture (s) would sure help!

Regards,
Diane in CA
